Finding Your Plot at HSU

Finding Your Plot at HSU

This session helps students recognize the institutional barriers that often make college feel alienating and overly complicated . We build an understanding of those barriers, give students a positive outlook on their academic career, make a plan to address specific barriers that have been troublesome for them and help them to recognize the benefits they provide to the university in order to bolster a sense that not only do you belong here, you make HSU a better and more interesting place.

This SkillShop is offered:

It is a part of the Peer Health Education CIY Skill Shops. Choose it Yourself Health Education Skill Shops are evidence based short health education sessions created by student Peer Health Educators (PHEs) with expert oversight to ensure the right information is presented in an approachable manner. All sessions have been created by students for students in conjunction with medical professionals, therapists, and or faculty on campus. They utilize the tools of activated health education, social psychological interventions, and advocacy based health education in order to empower students to be proactive about their health and wellbeing.
