Several computers will be available, but bringing a laptop is encouraged.

"Wikimedia’s gender trouble is well-documented. In a 2011 survey, the Wikimedia Foundation found that less than 10% of its contributors identify as female. While the reasons for the gender gap are up for debate, the practical effect of this disparity is not: content is skewed by the lack of female participation. This represents an alarming absence in an important repository of shared knowledge." Source: Art+Feminism Organizers' Kit. (2016).

Join us in a collaborative editing session to create more inclusive information resources.  Tutorials at the event for how to edit Wikipedia will be offered, so if you've never edited before please come learn with us. Feel free to come and support us even if you don't feel like editing.

This space is open to all genders and identities.  Your voice and knowledge are welcome.

Please create a Wikipedia account before the event if possible. You can learn how to do that here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:CreateAccount&returnto=Main+Page
