Know Your (Copy)Rights: Tools and Tips to Help You Navigate Copyright in the Classroom

Copyright restrictions are a concern for all educators as we plan for instruction. Can I show a copyrighted video in my classroom? What is covered by fair use and when should I seek permission? Can I scan a journal article and put it on Moodle for students as required reading? Come get an introduction to some decision-making tools that can help you decode the rights granted to you by copyright laws.

Please remember that librarians cannot give you legal advice regarding copyright issues, but we can steer you in the right direction to find answers to your questions.
